I gotta admit, at first Mercy freaked me out a bit. I’d gotten Mercy awhile back and forgot what it was about, but remembered I wanted to read it. So when the readathon rolled around, I tackled it. So, I didn’t know Mercy was an angel until about halfway through. I just thought it was creepy this girl was “stealing” peoples lives, even if she was doing it for the greater good. My creep factor aside, this isn’t your typical angel book. In fact, angels aren’t brought up much, no wings, nothing you’d typically expect. It was such a unique look on a familiar subject with strong ties into the mystery and thriller categories. It kept me riveted, I can’t wait to read book two, in hopes it’ll cover more of Mercy’s angel side. A side I felt kind of lacked in this book.
